What is Coaching?

Life Coaching is about transformation and making changes to your life.  It has the power to balance and harmonise your life.  We all need a little help sometimes in seeing how to move forward.  It may be that you would like to be more confident, change your job or develop in your career but you feel stuck and unsure how to make the change.

It can be a specific type of coaching with focus on one particular area, such health & diet,  business or performance coaching.  However for optimum success it is advisable to look at life coaching as a holistic process taking into account all the different areas of your life.

Everything is connected and has an affect on other areas.  Using a holistic approach means that we will consider all of these different parts and how they are affecting you and your life.  I work in a person-centred way and this means that you choose what areas and topics you wish to work on.  I do not make the decision on what needs more focus, that is for you to decide.  You are the expert on you!

How we work together

Life Coaching is based in the present moment and looks at how you want your life to be going forward and in the future.  We do not combine life coaching and counselling as the two therapeutic approaches are quite different.  Using a solution-focussed model we would identify your aspirations for the future and work on setting achievable goals and targets to work towards your future vision.

We will work together to help identify your strengths and weaknesses and the impact they have on your decisions and life choices.  Your beliefs and values have been developed over the years and may be negative or positive, which can either help or hinder your self-development and potential happiness in life.
